Adventure Activity Standards are being reviewed and your input is welcome.
General comments from interested individual and groups will be taken until February 19, 2009. Feedback, suggestions and corrections will then be considered and incorporated in to new versions to be published in 2009.
Specific comments about individual AAS or technical aspects of each activity are also welcome. No significant technical changes have been made since the 2005 versions but any changes will be considered for the 2009 versions.
In your feedback, please refer to the AAS by name and to the numbered section so your comments can be more easily interpreted Please also provide your name so we can attribute and acknowledge the feedback, and your contact details so we may contact you for any clarification.

In the 2008 draft versions
• Common material has been identified and written in a similar way
• A generic format and order has been developed
• Typographical, spelling and some obvious errors have been corrected (but we may have inadvertently inserted some of our own!)
• Some general material has been shifted to the web site
• Leave No Trace information has been added
• Competencies have been updated (note that the Training Package continues to be reviewed and changed).
The review has been overseen by the AAS Technical Committee and coordinated by Don MacDowall.
